Students pursuing MBAs are typically discerning in the programs they choose to consider, but Russel Folmar took that a step further. "I wanted Auburn to be discerning in how they chose me," he said.
Folmar, international sales manager for Mainettti USA, a garment hanger manufacturer, was particularly interested in the international component of Auburn's Executive MBA program. "The international curriculum was relevant to what we do," he said. "I had several different options, but Auburn's comprehensive package, interaction and followup stood head and shoulders above the rest."
His Auburn MBA has given him "validation of the direction I'd chosen," he said, by advancing his knowledge of finance, an area of business he previously felt was a weakness. "I knew I needed to dig deeper and become more refined in the financial arena," he said.
Classes taught by professors with real-world experience enhanced the program, Folmar said, and the international component helped him see how economies play against each other in the global business environment.
