Before Auburn MBA

In April 2014, I completed my bachelor’s degree in business economics with business leadership honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Following graduation, I joined BBVA Compass as part of their management program, Leap. This rotational program served as an introduction to the banking industry, corporate functions and BBVA worldwide. After placement within the organization, I worked as a technology project manager in the Mobile Application Development department, as well as the program manager for the bank’s technology ecosystem efforts in Birmingham.

Most recently, I worked as the Business Support Manager to the CIO of B.L. Harbert International, LLC. In this role, I was responsible for new programs, vendor management and financial support in the corporate IT area.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work in a range of internships including corporate and service learning. As part of the UAB Global and Community Leadership Honors program, I completed a non-profit communications internship with United Way of Central Alabama and an events-focused internship with the David Mathews Center for Civic Life. During the Summer of 2013, I interned with BBVA Compass in their Commercial Banking area in Dothan, Ala. This experience included visiting BBVA’s Innovation Center in Madrid, Spain, as well as a corporate-based project addressing corporate social responsibility.

While at UAB, I served in a variety of roles in the Undergraduate Student Government Association, including College of Business senator, elections coordinator and vice president. In the community, I was an active participant in UAB programs Into the Streets and Alternative Spring Break. I conducted fund-raising activities for Austin Speaks as a member of Alpha Xi Delta fraternity. In my professional career, I have worked as a BBVA Compass Volunteer Chapter representative and a Pathways Fiscally Fit volunteer. Currently, I serve on a local Gold Award Committee Board for the Girl Scouts of America.
