Information Assurance Minor
(15 semester hours)
The Information Assurance minor provides an interdisciplinary education to students seeking careers in technology and information-intensive fields related to Accounting, Information Systems, and Finance. Students learn to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information –an increasingly valuable subject in today’s business world.
The Information Assurance minor is tailored to complement the major chosen by the student. Therefore, the required courses for the minor differ depending upon the individual student's major.
Students may begin taking courses in their minor as early as their freshman year if they meet the course prerequisites.
Students should talk with the College’s academic advisors for guidance in making this decision (Advisors).
