Our Online Programs
The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business offers online undergraduate accounting courses enabling second degree candidates to meet requirements for the Uniform CPA examination or to pursue prerequisites for the Master of Accounting Program or the Graduate Certificate in Accounting.
Many states require a specific amount of accounting coursework to be eligible to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination in addition to holding a bachelor's degree. The Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting (UCA) is designed for those students who already hold a degree and need the additional coursework necessary to sit for the CPA Exam. The Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting is 24 semester hours (8 courses) that covers information tested on the CPA Exam.
Our traditional on-campus accounting classes are videotaped and online students view their lectures via streaming video either live or at a time convenient to their work schedules. Therefore, online students receive the same instruction and AACSB accredited degree as their on-campus peers. The online option is identical to the on-campus option regarding rigor, standards, and student accountability.
Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate in Accounting, you should meet regional accreditation standards (SACS, etc.) for teaching accounting at the collegiate level, expand opportunities at your current employer or organization, meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for the Uniform CPA examination, and matriculate to the Master of Accounting program with only four courses remaining.
Like our online MSIS degree option, the courses are recorded on campus and available for viewing at your convenience as soon as two hours following the conclusion of class on campus. You can stay at home and continue to work but gain college credit.
The online MAcc Program at Auburn University is designed to provide students flexibility in balancing their coursework with their lifestyles, families, and professional commitments. The program combines traditional instruction with modern delivery methods to offer educational opportunities beyond Auburn's campus. Students may complete the degree in only two years (five semesters taking two classes per term) while working full-time. Students who aren't working and enroll either summer or fall semester may complete the program in one year (three semesters). Our online option is identical to the on-campus option regarding rigor, standards, and student accountability.
This digital-based off-campus program is designed for the working professional and mirrors the full time MBA program. Students receive the same instruction, assignments and tests as on-campus students.
Students receive the same instruction, assignments and tests as on-campus MS Finance students. This off-site option allows for scheduling flexibility and may be of special interest to the student already working.
NOTE: this option is only open to students currently living in the United States or are in the U.S. military (and may be posted around the world).
One of the most flexible programs of any major university, Auburn’s Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) enables you to develop greater technical expertise while customizing the program to meet your individual career goals.
