To apply to the MS Finance Online program, fill out the Graduate School Application.
Currently we only accept online applications for students whose primary residence
is in the U.S. or Canada or who are in the U.S. Military.
A completed application includes:
- Application fee paid to the Graduate School
- Official undergraduate university transcript
- Official GMAT score (preferred) or GRE score
- Official TOEFL or IELTS score (international students only)
- Two letters of reference
- Personal Statement
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or college and should have completed Common Body of Knowledge courses in economics, calculus and statistics. Admission is competitive and the number of candidates accepted each year is limited.
The College offers thesis and non-thesis options for the degree. The thesis option requires 26 hours of coursework with four hours of thesis credit. The non-thesis option requires 30 hours of coursework.
Students should have completed coursework in the Common Body of Knowledge before enrolling in the MS Finance program.
Students may apply for student loans through the Financial Aid office at http://www.auburn.edu/student_info/student_affairs/finaid/index.html (offsite link). The Department of Finance has a very limited number of graduate research assistantships which provide a partial tuition waiver and a monthly stipend.
TUITION & FEES
Online MS Finance students are charged a per credit hour fee for their courses. The semester fee is $875 per credit hour. Tuition is reviewed and set each summer by the Auburn University Board of Trustees and is adjusted for the following fall semester. The online MS Finance degree is a minimum of 30 credit hours.
Students admitted to the Auburn online MS Finance program are to pay a $250 orientation fee to cover the costs of the academic leveling coursework that is made available to each student through an online portal once they confirm the offer of admission. Online students who begin their coursework in the fall semester are also invited to attend new student orientation on Auburn’s campus. There is an additional charge to attend campus orientation. There is not an on campus orientation option for online students who begin in the spring semester.
For fall enrollment, students should submit completed applications no later than May 1.
For spring enrollment, students should submit completed applications no later than November 1.
Applications submitted after the deadlines may be considered on a case by case basis.
There are no admissions for the summer semester.
