Mentorship Luncheon 2014
The Harbert College of Business is proud to sponsor the mentorship program, Harbert Connects.
Harbert Connects is supported by an online platform (People Grove) that is features-rich allowing for more targeted and meaningful connections, easier and more secure communications, and detailed analytics. People Grove is user friendly and easily tailored to the mentee and mentor’s specific needs and availabilities.
What to Expect:
Harbert Connects provides mentoring opportunities to business students in two separate formats.
Formal Mentorship Program
Mentees will apply and interview for the program’s one semester long mentorship experience. The mentorship relationship is hand matched with close detail considering the best benefits for mentor and mentee. The mentoring relationship is fostered by the program coordinator and the mentees will receive professional and career development through educational sessions and one-on-one mentoring with leading professionals. Mentors provide educational and experiential opportunities for the mentee which support future success.
Informal Mentorship Program
An informal, non-binding approach for the mentorship relationship. The mentor selects their preferences as to how they can be contacted and how many times. This pool of mentors will be available as students have questions, seek advice, and desire to build their network on their own.
