The Harbert College of Business is proud to sponsor the Mentorship Program. This select student program consists of Informational Interviews, Job Shadowing and a year-long Mentorship Experience.
If you are a leading business executive who would like to participate in the Mentorship Program, please email Courtney Arnold.
What to Expect:
This is a student initiated one-hour scheduled meeting with a business professional. The student takes the opportunity to ask for industry and career advice in his or her career field of interest and academic major. Interviews are typically conducted in-person, by phone or online via Skype.
This is a career exploration experience which offers the student an opportunity to spend time in his or her career field of interest with an active business professional. Students see firsthand what professionals actually do, what the working environment is like and the types of individuals with whom they will work.
YEAR-LONG MENTORSHIP EXPERIENCE:
This program component promotes the professional and career development of students through educational sessions and one-on-one mentoring with leading business executives. Students are paired with successful business professionals for one academic year (August through May). During this time, mentors provide educational and experiential opportunities for students which support future career success.
