Networking is a skill that will follow you for the rest of your career. Work to control your nerves, and hone your conversational skills. Your hard work will be rewarded.
The employers will meet a ton of students tonight; how will you set yourself apart? Sending a follow-up note or email to professionals you meet is another way to be visible to them (not to mention, it's good etiquette). Put those business cards that you'll collect to good use!
KIT (my favorite yearbook acronym) = Keep In Touch. Don’t fall off of your favorite employer's radar – resolve to have one touch point with your professional contacts this summer! The summer months are a great hiatus from school for many of you, but don't treat them as a hiatus from recruiting.
