INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: External Financial Reporting
Encompass Health’s External Financial reporting department is responsible for preparing all financial information that purports to be in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States and is reported by Encompass Health to external parties. The intern in this department would be responsible for assisting in the preparation and filing of various public reports including, but not limited to, Encompass Health’s Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and Current Reports on Form 8-K. This intern will gather information and prepare analyses to be used within these public reports, which may include the research and documentation of financial reporting issues. He/she will also gain an understanding of the Disclosure Certification process required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and how Encompass Health ensures its compliance with this law. The financial reporting intern will also assist with the quality assurance process of all public reports, including completion of financial statement disclosure checklists and document tie out procedures. In addition to public reports, the financial reporting intern will work with division accounting and operations personnel to prepare and distribute certain separate opinion reports related to various hospitals and partnerships of Encompass Health.

FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY: Reimbursement Accountant
The Reimbursement Accountant I is responsible for preparing annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports to ensure maximum reimbursement for assigned hospitals. The Reimbursement Accountant I will provide hospital and audit support and will also be responsible for miscellaneous analytical duties as assigned. This position will develop and maintain key regulatory knowledge in order to accurately perform duties.
