Dr. Cicero joined Auburn University in 2016 as an Associate Professor. His research focuses on agency issues in public corporations, corporate governance, and executive compensation. His work has been published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and the Journal of Corporate Finance. It has also been featured in popular media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Reuters, and The Harvard Business Review. Before entering academia, he spent time practicing corporate law and as a financial economist with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. His teaching experience includes investments, corporate finance, and financial institutions, and he received an Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Graduate Student at the University of Georgia.
