        Professional Activities

        Dr. Jennifer Mueller-Phillips, Wells Fargo Professor, became the ninth dean of the Harbert College of Business in 2024. An accomplished scholar and faculty member in the School of Accountancy, Mueller-Phillips brings 25 years of experience as an Auburn faculty member and administrator, including as associate dean for academic affairs and director of the School of Accountancy. She has extensive experience overseeing academic initiatives for Harbert College and its more than 7,500 students and nearly 300 faculty and staff.

        Mueller-Phillips holds a Master of Accountancy and Ph.D. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and a B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville State University. Her scholarly accomplishments include numerous publications and presentations, a highly competitive research grant by the US Center for Audit Quality, appointment to a national research synthesis team of the US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and appointment to the KPMG Academic Research Panel, supporting the firm’s funding for academic research globally. She is a past recipient of the College’s Outstanding Research Award as well as the prestigious McCartney Teaching Award.
