Mr. Waggoner is a corporate attorney currently in practice for Auburn University as Special Counsel to the President. Mr. Waggoner's practice has been substantially based in the private sector, corporate transactional practice, representing financial institutions, emerging companies, and established corporations. He specializes, at Auburn, in assisting the University where its activities intersect with the market, maximizing the University's financial power in designing, negotiating and drafting corporate transactions. Mr. Waggoner also assists the University in the issues related to corporate, educational, and foundation governance. Mr. Waggoner served on the editorial board of the Alabama Law Review. He clerked for Chief Justice Perry Hooper of the Supreme Court of the State of Alabama. He was a member of the 2005-06 Alabama State Bar Leadership Class. He is a member of the State Bar Associations of Alabama, Georgia, New York and Florida. While a student at Auburn University, Mr. Waggoner was elected President of the Student Government Association, and was selected to be a member of Mortar Board and Omicron Delta Kappa and was selected as the Outstanding Student of the Year in the School of Liberal Arts his senior year.
