Terry Self has been an adjunct instructor at Auburn University since 2014, teaching such courses as Compensation and Employee Benefits, Selection and Placement, and Organizational Behavior. She has earned the HR Certification Institute’s PHR certification for Human Resource Professionals. She received her Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama. Her research has been published in refereed publications and presented at professional conferences. One of her papers was named by the journal of Development and Learning in Organizations’ editorial team as a Highly Commended Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence and another was named Best Paper, at the 2015 International Academy of Business Disciplines Conference, Orlando, FL. She is a member for the Society for Human Resource Management and the Southern Management Association.
