Auburn University Entrepreneurship Summit
In an effort to recognize Auburn University's established and emerging business leaders and innovators, the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business created the Auburn University Entrepreneurship Summit. The 2017 Auburn University Entrepreneurship Summit is scheduled for March 30-31 at The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center, features programming aimed at honoring alumni and students from each of Auburn University's 12 degree-granting colleges and schools:
- Tiger Cage: Similar to ABC's popular "Shark Tank," Tiger Cage challenges undergraduate and graduate
students to compete for funding and other prizes that will help them turn their big
ideas into thriving businesses. Competitors have the opportunity to receive mentorship
from successful alumni entrepreneurs and other experts before submitting proposals.

- Top Tigers: Presented in partnership with Business Alabama magazine and the accounting firm Warren Averett, this program recognizes fast-growing businesses founded, owned, operated or led
by Auburn University alumni. Nominees are evaluated based on revenue growth and their
ability to operate in a manner consistent with the Auburn Creed. Learn more about

- Entrepreneur Hall of Fame: Open to alumni from each of Auburn University's colleges, the Hall of Fame inducted its first member in April 2015. The Hall of Fame awards program affords the opportunity to recognize the achievements of alumni who, by virtue of their entrepreneurial spirit, have made a significant impact in their professions. In addition to recognizing the career achievements of Auburn University alumni, the Harbert College of Business will also present individual awards in recognition of excellence -- the Spirit of Auburn Family Entrepreneur Award, Entrepreneur of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Chicken Salad Chick founder Stacy Brown earned 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year honors, while Bellhops co-founder Cameron Doody was the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
