There are four keys to accessing College of Business computing resources from off-campus:
1. Internet Access
In order to gain access from off-campus you will internet access from your off-campus machine. If you can access the university's website, this should suffice as proof that you have internet access.
2. VPN Client
In order to be able to access computing resources within the College of Business, you must use a VPN client to connect to campus. This requires that you have the ability to download and install software onto this off-campus matching - utilizing Administrative privileges on this local machine.
If you have these rights, you can download the VPN client through AU Install site at http://www.auburn.edu/software. After logging in, please locate and download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client. Once you have the VPN client installed, launch it and "Connect to:"
using the "Group:"
Press "Connect". Here you will use your email username and password to gain access to the campus network. Now your machine is part of the trusted Auburn University Network, allowing access to many computing resources throughout campus.
3. Specific CoB Computing Resources
Once you have connected to the VPN, click on the Windows start menu and click "Run..." Then you will type the address of the server you want to connect to.
Use the following list to find the addresses for specific server connections (e.g. areas assigned to your profile)

Airport Share Drive - \\flighted-server.business.auburn.edu\share - S: drive at the Airport

Accessing your office machine requires some pre-setup. This pre-setup requires actions from our domain administrator as well as setting specifically on your office machine. If you need access to your office machine, please let us know and we will be glad to establish this possibility.
4. Lab Machine Access
If you need access to a lab machine, you don't need to use the VPN client. Just go to http://business.auburn.edu/legacy/apps/virtual/ and use the Virtual Computer Lab.
