Doug Fraser isn’t a vocal coach, but he has played a pivotal role in helping artists like Taylor Swift, Alison Krauss, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts hit the right notes.
As President and CEO of The Art of the Game, Fraser has worked with some of the most recognizable names from the Nashville music scene on artist brand development. Fraser, who earned a marketing degree from Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business in 1983, will share his insights about marketing and successful branding campaigns during an open lecture on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. in Lowder 125-A.
The forum marks the latest installment of the college’s “Business of Music” speaker series. Previous guests have included Kansas drummer Phil Ehart and blues musician Big Bill Morganfield.
Fraser launched The Art of the Game in Atlanta in 2000, but the event marketing, sales support and brand development company now operates out of Franklin, Tenn. Fraser’s event credits include five NFL Super Bowls (NFL Experience, pre-game and halftime shows), the World Series, the Masters, the Grammy Awards and the Country Music Association Awards.
