More students. More faculty. More employers. More awareness.
“More are becoming aware of the industry week format,” said Lawrence, whose office has sponsored the annual event which allows corporate representatives the opportunity to meet with prospective employers – Auburn College of Business students – on a personal level. “We’re seeing some growth in financial services and consulting areas. We’ve worked hard to build good relationships that will go for a long time. Student participation is holding up as well.”
Three rounds of Industry Weeks, which include interview training, resume building, and job expos, have brought representatives from Marketing, Sales and Retail (Jan. 30-Feb. 1); Financial Services and Corporate Accounting (Feb. 6-8); and Consulting and Information Technology (Feb. 13-15) to Lowder Hall.
The next, and final round, begins the week of Monday, Feb. 25, as Supply Chain, Operations and Aviation Management takes center stage with a week of industry-preparation seminars and mock interview training.

Expo preparation seminars will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 4-5 p.m., and again Monday, March 4, from 4-5 p.m. Both of these will be inside the OPCD office and will cover what prospective employees should expect, how they should dress, and provide company research.
A resume and mock interview blitz will take place Monday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the OPCD.
Corporate representatives 27 firms are scheduled to visit Tuesday, March 5 through Thursday, March 7. They include: U.S. Xpress; Old Dominion Freight Lines; Frito-Lay; Colgate-Palmolive; C.H.
