The Harbert College of Business at Auburn University has been ranked among the nation’s top 50 public schools for career success and student excellence in its full-time MBA program.

U.S. News & World Report today released its 2023 Best Graduate Schools Ranking with Harbert’s full-time MBA listed at #42 among public schools and its specialized supply chain management program at #12.

“Auburn’s graduate business programs are consistently ranked among the nation’s best,” said Michael Wesson, PhD, associate dean of Graduate and Executive Programs at Harbert. “We are especially excited about the recognition of our fast-rising supply chain management program, which is the newest of our specialty master’s programs. Our faculty and staff work tirelessly to provide our students with a world-class education that is competitively priced and prepares them to step into leadership roles in their respective fields.”

Rankings are based on a survey of deans, program directors, and senior faculty at AACSB-accredited institutions who were asked to assess the academic reputations of MBA and specialty programs at peer schools, as well as a survey of corporate recruiters who work with or hire new graduates. Career success was also considered as the ranking organization reviewed statistical data regarding employment rates at or near the time of graduation and starting salaries.

“Corporations across a variety of industries look to the Harbert College of Business and its graduate programs to fill leadership positions,” said Frank Oprandy, director of Graduate Career Services. “The feedback from recruiters is that our graduates come prepared with the skills and work ethic needed to hit the ground running day one and add value to the organization immediately.”

In January, U.S. News & World Report also listed Harbert College among the nation’s top 25 public schools for Best Online MBA Programs and Best Online Graduate Business Programs. In that survey, its online MBA and graduate business programs were also ranked among the top 20 public schools for veterans, and three of its specialized online graduate programs—finance, business analytics, and general management —were recognized in the top 15.
