On Thursday September 26, 6 – 8 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs are co-hosting a panel for students in conjunction with Black Alumni Reunion weekend. We are promoting this event as an educational and networking opportunity for students and any others interested in learning about these successful graduates. Following the panel discussion, we will host a reception in the same room.
Regenia Sanders, ’95, ’99, Partner with Ernst and Young will serve as the moderator. Eight panelists from different majors, career fields, etc. include: Thom Gossom, ’75, the first Black athlete to graduate from Auburn University; Col. Linwood Moore, ’77, first Black cheerleader, first Black Plainsman, and former Chief of Pharmacy for the VA Medical Center; Angela Jenkins, ’94, Executive Diabetes Business Specialist with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals; Duriel Barlow, ’03, ’06, ’13, Principal of East Samford School; Christopher Martin, ’12, AU Asst. Clinical Professor of Nursing; Wanona Satcher, ’02, ’05, CEO/Founder of Makhers Studio and Rejuve Corporation; Michael Harriot, ’95, Staff Writer at The Root; and Anthony Britt, ’12, facilities, project, and space management professional.
