        Cobbs Allenan independent risk management and insurance brokerage firm, is seeking a full- time staff accountant for their Birmingham office and new accounting graduates meet the experience criteria. See below for more information.

        Job Summary: Responsible for managing and reconciling the company payables, vendor payables, cash reconciliations and assist in financial reporting, as needed.

        • College degree or equivalent practical accounting experience of 5 years
        • Proficient with excel, attentive to detail, and must be a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.

        Duties & Responsibilities:

        Client Receivables:

        • Responsible for recording daily deposits
        • Reporting related to Accounts receivable and maintaining open lines of communication with producer and account teams regarding overdue balances
        • Issuing client refund checks

        Finance Contracts

        • Obtain the needed information to complete finance contracts, submitting these to the finance company and acting as the liaison between the finance company and producers/account managers.


        • Assist in monthly closings.
        • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.
