Nestlé has already posted their 2020 opportunities, and AU students are encouraged to apply early. This 12-week internship allows interns to travel internationally to Nestlé locations throughout North America, reviewing the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of operations across multiple businesses (think: Toll House, Nestlé Purina, Nespresso, Nestlé Waters, Häagen Dazs).

The internship is paid and housing is provided by Nestlé. The target audience is students who graduate between December 2020 to May 2022.

Nestlé plans to close applications within the next 2 weeks.

        More about the internship:

Audit at Nestlé isn’t your typical financial auditing – it’s operational. That means we use a systematic approach to review the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of operations across the business. We’re not just auditing Nestlé Purina’s internal business units (e.g. Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.); we’re auditing ALL of Nestlé – the factories, distribution centers, headquarters and satellite offices. As one of our Audit Interns, you’ll become part of a close family we call the Nestlé Market Audit (NMA) group. We’re a melting pot of sorts – we’re from all across the country. Some of us have accounting degrees, or are working toward them, and others of us have backgrounds in the sciences or engineering. But, that’s what makes our mix work; having enough different brains and skill sets in the room so we approach every audit at different vantage points. Since we’re operational auditors, we’re looking at everything with an analytical mind and an eye on efficiency and opportunity for improvement.

        VIDEOS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:

E-mail Gib Thrash, our recent alum who works for Nestlé Global, to apply (gibson.thrash@nestle.com). His personal testament is below.

"For me, this internship ultimately led to a full time offer to join our Global team in Switzerland where I’m traveling to a new country about every four weeks. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has enjoyed ACCT 3520 (AIS) and Business Analytics courses at AU. This is also a great chance to do something completely different from one day to the next – this week I am auditing the Treasury process in our LATAM operations, and next week I’ll be back in the USA doing a review of sales and business strategy. Ultimately, I could never make up my mind between Audit and Advisory, and this role has given me the opportunity to have a hand in both."
