As of January 1, Mrs. Lakas and Ms. Murphy have a new division of responsibilities in the School of Accountancy (SOA). The SOA has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years, which has prompted a realignment of duties related to student support. Below are some statistics that illustrate this positive upward trend in our programs; it is nothing short of amazing!

In an effort to focus on the enormous growth of our undergraduate program and the amazing recruiting opportunities afforded our students, Mrs. Lakas' role is redefined for 2018. On January 1, she was promoted to be the School of Accountancy's Director of Recruiting and Professional Development, which allows her to solely focus on our expanded undergraduate recruiting activities.
Also effective January 1, 2018, Ms. Amy Murphy re-assumed direct oversight of the campus Master of Accountancy Program. For nearly 25 years, she has been the MAcc Program Director and has served as the Director of Graduate & Online Programs. Ms. Murphy plans to communicate with the undergraduate population on a regular basis about MAcc Program-related matters. She encourages interested students to monitor her email communications and the MAcc website to familiarize yourself with expectations and application procedures.
Five years ago, neither Mrs. Lakas nor Ms. Murphy anticipated the explosive growth of our undergraduate program and the employment opportunities available to our wonderful students. We are excited to see where the next five years take us!
