Providence Investments is looking to hire recent grads to fill their entry-level multifamily accountant position. Completion of the CPA is preferred, but not required.

Job Description for Multifamily Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintains portfolio and property level financial analyses of all assets in the portfolio
• Prepare and analyze all company financial statements
• Leads the accounting function and maintains the general ledger for all portfolio of multifamily apartment communities
• Responsible for monthly and year-end close and financial reporting, including journal entries to record activity and reconciling account balances
• Responsible for cash control and bank reconciliations for portfolio properties
• Reviewing portfolio property vendor invoices and associated disbursements; manage team member responsible for entering AP into company software
• Record and maintain escrows, replacement reserves, capital expenditures, depreciation, and equity contributions/distributions
• Act as a resource and liaison to investment partners, lenders, third party service providers, and internal residential management and development teams as needed
• Supervise team members who are responsible for managing move-outs, security deposit dispositions, delinquent accounts, and other residential property management tasks
• Monitors and oversee the portfolio’s performance against budget, manage and monitor cash flow, make strategic recommendations on asset capitalization, and prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio/performance reports
• Correct all violations or infractions and implement measures and tools to prevent deficiencies
• Ensure the books, records, general ledger, reports and financial statements for all business units are 100% accurate

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• CPA license preferred
• Multifamily Experience preferred
• Yardi-Voyager Experience preferred
• Highly proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and utilizing Property Management software
