        The Harbert College of Business offers you the unique opportunity to spend a semester at either Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, Germany, or the Universidad de Navarra (University of Navarra) in Pamplona, Spain, earning college credits toward your business degree.

        Universidad de Navarra

        Located in Pamplona, best known for the “running of the bulls” and its medieval surroundings and pre-Christian monuments, the Unversidad de Navarra is one of the locations you can spend a semester or two earning college credits toward your business degree. The Spanish and English-taught Business study abroad program is designed to motivate you to complete a semester or more in your degree. For more information download the Program Brochure.

        Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences

        Located in Pforzheim, Germany, and supervised by the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences is one of the locations you can spend a semester earning college credits toward your business degree. The German and English-taught Business study abroad program is designed to motivate you to complete one semester in Business Management. For more information download the Program Brochure.

        Academic and Travel Requirements

        • Academic Requirements

          Universidad de Navarra
          To be eligible for the Business Exchange Program to Spain, you must be at least of Junior standing with a minimum GPA of 2.25. Additionally, while it is not mandatory, it is recommended that you have an Intermediate level of Spanish fluency.

          Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences
          To be eligible for the Business Exchange Program to Germany, you must be at least a Sophomore level business major with a minimum GPA of 2.25. Additionally, you must have completed the Pforzheim application; received the Language Certificate; signed the Pforzheim Learning Agreement; and provided a résumé or CV, your college transcripts, and 2 passport-sized photos.

        • Travel Requirements

          Universidad de Navarra
          In order to travel outside the U.S., you are required to have a passport that is valid up to 6 months following your scheduled time abroad.

          Please see the following guidelines for visa regulations in Pamplona, Spain:

          • U.S. Citizens staying longer than 90 days will need to obtain a student visa (semester study will require a visa)
          • Students will work with the Auburn Abroad office for instructions on how to request a student visa
          • Non-U.S. Citizens must check on visa requirements for visits of any duration in Spain

        Program Fees

        • Program Fees

          You will pay Auburn tuition and fees for a full-time student equal to 12 hours (based on your residency status) for a course titled “Auburn Exchange Course UNIV 3000.”

          You will not have to pay tuition to the host university but may pay other fees and are also responsible for the cost of meals, books, housing, in-country travel expenses, incidental expenses, passport and visa expenses, and airfare.

          Additional costs will include a $2 per day for MEDEX Medical Evacuation for the duration of the program.

          You must be able to provide financial documentation indicating sufficient funds for the period of your stay abroad.
