Sparks is a training and organizational development advisor for the Jefferson County, Alabama, Commission. In this role, he helps spearhead training and development initiatives for 6,000 county employees.

Additionally, Sparks serves as chairperson for the Jefferson County Human Resources Culture Champs – a team dedicated to establishing and maintaining a healthy, enjoyable and engaging culture for department employees.

He is also the owner and operator of his own coaching and consulting firm, Anthony D. Sparks LLC, where he helps organizations and individuals improve personal and professional development, leadership, workplace culture, morale and service.
