tactical, and operational goals.
We provide you all of your technology and software needs with various labs and technologies
available for you to use at your convenience here at Auburn University.

Computer Labs
There are various types of labs for your various needs. Check out the descriptions
for each lab for more information.
Contact ITS for assistance. We will help make sure your office computer is setup for
remote access, and provide you with the device's name for remote access.
Make sure you are registered with DUO and have the VPN software installed on the device
you will use to remotely connect to your office computer
Make sure you have a remote desktop client installed that supports RDP. Most Windows
machines will have "Remote Desktop" installed by default. Microsoft also makes this
software available in the MacOS, iOS, and Google Play app stores.
Connect to the VPN and authenticate with DUO when prompted.
Launch your remote desktop software, and enter the name of your computer computer/address
field.
Click connect, and login with your Auburn credentials
If you encounter any errors, try using yourcomputername.ad.auburn.edu in the computer/address
field (adding ".ad.auburn.edu" to the computer name)
Contact ITS for assistance. We will help make sure your office computer is setup for
remote access, and provide you with the device's name for remote access.
Make sure you are registered with DUO and have the VPN software installed on the device
you will use to remotely connect to your office computer
Download and install “Microsoft Remote Desktop” from the App store (make sure it is
published by “Microsoft Corporation” and not a 3rdparty clone)
Connect to the Auburn VPN
Launch “Microsoft Remote Desktop” and either click “Add PC” or click on the “+” symbol
on the tool bar and then select “Add PC”
In the “PC name” field enter your office computer’s name followed by “.ad.auburn.edu”.
Example if your office computer is named HCOB-001232 then enter HCOB-001234.ad.auburn.edu
Click “Add”
Double click the computer object that was created.
Login with your normal Auburn credentials. (You may have to accept some certificate
warnings.)
