Meet the Deans for the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University
Dean and Wells Fargo Professor
Dr. Annette L. Ranft serves as Dean and Wells Fargo Professor of Auburn University’s
Raymond J. Harbert College of Business. A noted scholar of strategic management, her
research has examined such areas as the acquisitions of high-tech firms, strategic
leadership, merger and acquisition integration, and knowledge management. Ranft, who
joined the college in 2018, was among The Wall Street Journal’s list of top female business administrators—one of 11 “shining stars” identified
by the national outlet.
Dr. Hanna is responsible for building and overseeing the research and outreach enterprises in the Harbert College. Trained in both Logistics and Accounting, Dr. Hanna brings to the job both practical business experience and award-winning research skills.
Dr. Harris is responsible for all Masters and International programs in the College. In addition to garnering awards for his teaching, research, and outreach activities, Dr. Harris has been a leader in the design, implementation, and instruction of the College’s Executive MBA programs.
Dr. Mueller-Phillips is responsible for managing the internal academic affairs of the Harbert College. With acclaimed research in auditor judgment and liability, Dr. Mueller-Phillips carries quite the academic arsenal, which serve her, and the College, well.
Dr. Butler is responsible for undergraduate international studies and global consulting programs for the Harbert College of Business. Dr. Butler has 28 teaching awards and has led student teams in China, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and the United Kingdom.
