        Tuition & Financial Assistance

Investing in your future is worth it. However, it’s important to know that some programs require funding through additional fees not covered in tuition payments in order to provide a high-quality learning environment that students expect. These additional amounts help to cover not only the direct costs of providing instruction and advising in these programs but also indirect costs associated with Auburn’s role as a comprehensive center of higher education for the state.

Answer: All students desiring consideration for Harbert scholarships should apply through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM). AUSOM’s online features and benefits allow students to search, review requirements, apply and accept awards for available scholarship opportunities, all within one easy-to-use site. Current students are encouraged to apply each year they are enrolled in Harbert. Upon admission to Auburn University, incoming freshmen and transfer students gain access to AUSOM.  While all eligible applicants receive consideration for Harbert scholarships, our college prioritizes supporting upperclassmen for their academic achievements, engagement in the classroom, leadership on campus and within the community, and participation in high impact experiences like internships, case competitions, industry conferences and study abroad.
        • Do I have to demonstrate financial need to receive a scholarship?
Answer: No. While some of the college’s scholarships do require a student to demonstrate financial need, many scholarships are based on merit, leadership, engagement and participation.
        • What are the criteria for Harbert College of Business Scholarships?
Answer: The college is committed to rewarding students for their academic success, engagement within the college and through participation in high impact experiences like internships and abroad opportunities. All Harbert scholarships are donor-funded, which means that the scholarship criteria vary according to the preferences stated by the donor.  Criteria may be as simple as a current student in the Harbert College with a 3.0 GPA or as specific as a student from a particular town or academic major.  In short, academic scholarships are matched to the students who most closely fit the criteria for each individual scholarship.
        • When will I find out if I have been selected to receive a scholarship?
Answer: Selection and award notifications occur each spring for the upcoming academic year. The scholarship is credited to the recipient's account 10 days before the start of each fall semester.
