Summer 2027 Internship
Location: Peachtree Corners, Georgia
Brand: Guardian Sports
Department: Marketing
Dates: May 19, 2027 – August 6, 2027
Who we are.
Guardian Sports is a family-owned sports technology company that believes progress
starts by challenging accepted standards.
For more than 20 years, we’ve developed products trusted by the NFL, NCAA, CFL, and
Premier Lacrosse League. Our products, including Guardian Cap, PEARL lacrosse balls,
LOOP headgear, Guardian chinstraps, and bio-based turf infill, help protect more than
750,000 athletes annually.
We combine deep expertise in material science with a relentless commitment to innovation,
operating with the agility of a startup while partnering with the biggest organizations
in sports.
We’re looking for a Marketing Intern who wants more than a traditional internship.
This is an opportunity to work directly on projects that drive growth, launch products,
strengthen partnerships, and help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing brands
in sports safety.
What you’ll do.
As a Marketing Intern at Guardian Sports, you won’t spend your summer sitting in meetings
or watching from the sidelines. We’re a small team, which means you’ll be contributing
to real projects that impact the business.
You’ll work alongside marketing, creative, editorial, and leadership teams to help
solve problems, launch initiatives, and improve how we operate. Some days you’ll be
building content. Other days you’ll be researching opportunities, organizing complex
projects, analyzing results, or finding ways to make our team smarter and more efficient.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong organizational skills with strategic
thinking and isn’t afraid to take ownership.
At Guardian Sports, you’ll help tell the story of how innovation can improve athlete
performance and safety, while gaining firsthand experience building a modern sports
brand.
Potential Areas of Responsibility:
- Campaign execution: Help launch marketing campaigns across social media, email, partnerships, retail, and digital channels while managing timelines, assets, and project coordination.
- Content and storytelling: Create and edit content for social media, email, web, and
marketing materials that reflects the Guardian Sports brand and mission.
Project management and organization: Help maintain marketing calendars, campaign plans, asset organization, and cross-functional workflows to keep projects moving efficiently. - Partnership and market research: Research athletes, creators, teams, leagues, and brands to identify partnership opportunities and emerging trends.
- Marketing analytics: Review campaign performance, identify insights, and help recommend improvements that drive measurable business results.
- AI and process innovation: Build tools, workflows, knowledge systems, automations, and other AI-enabled solutions that help the marketing team move faster and operate more effectively.
Who you are:
- Enrolled in a college or university program, preferably focused on marketing, business, entrepreneurship, communications, sports management, or a related field
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently
- Interested in marketing strategy, brand building, eCommerce, social media, or business growth
- Curious about emerging technology and excited by the practical application of AI
- Passionate about sports and innovation
Bonus points if you:
- Have experience managing social media accounts, creating content, or supporting eCommerce initiatives
- Have built custom GPTs, Claude Projects, automations, dashboards, research agents, or other AI-powered tools
- Can demonstrate how you have used AI to improve a process, solve a problem, or create leverage beyond basic prompting
Why this role is different:
Most internships focus on exposure. This one focuses on contribution.
Because we’re a lean team, you’ll be trusted with meaningful work that directly impacts
campaigns, partnerships, product launches, and business growth. You’ll gain visibility
into how decisions are made, how marketing drives revenue, and how great brands are
built.
By the end of the summer, you’ll be able to point to projects you owned, systems you
improved, and results you helped create.
Expectations.
