Sports Industry Day 2026

The Marketing Department is hosting the first annual Sports Industry Day on Friday, September 18 in the Broadway Event Space & Theater (BEST) Room in Horton-Hardgrave Hall. The event will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM. Students are encouraged to stay for an optional networking lunch from 12:30 - 2:00 PM following the event.

What is Sports Industry Day?

Sports Industry Day will be a three-panel series on what it is like to work in the sports industry, how to stand out to recruiters, and ways to gain experience at Auburn.

Working in Sports Panel

This panel is made up of professionals in several sports-related careers - from corporate partnerships to sports agencies to ticket sales. These professionals will share about: 

• Their current roles and day-in-the-life
• How they got into the sports industry
• Experiences that made an impact on their career trajectory
• Insight on the industry

Recruiters Panel

This panel will be comprised of recruiters in the sports industry sharing about topics like:

• Sports internship opportunities
• How to stand out in the application process
• Where to find sports internships
• Best practices for interviewing and application materials

Auburn Experience Panel

The Auburn Experience panel will include professionals, former students, faculty, and Auburn Athletics team members to share about ways to gain experience in sports while at Auburn. Topics will include:

• Auburn-specific internship opportunities
• Courses and competition opportunities
• External training opportunities for students
• How students turned networking opportunities into job offers

Optional: Networking Lunch

Students and professionals are encouraged to join our team on the 5th Floor of HHH after the event for a networking lunch.
