        Business analytics drives decision making in today’s business world. With a minor in Business Analytics, you’ll gain an understanding of big data, how to manage it, and how it should inform business decisions—skills that will make you stand out to potential employers. 

        Business Analytics Minor Requirements

        Prerequisites

        You must meet all prerequisites for the required courses listed below. Prerequisites will not be waived. Visit the AU Bulletin to see course descriptions and their respective prerequisites (abbreviated as “Pr”).

        Choose 5 courses (15 hours) from the following:

        • BUAL 5600: Principles Predictive Modeling
        • BUAL 5610: Predictive Modeling for Business Decisions 
        • BUAL 5500 :Business Data Management and Acquisition 
        • BUAL 5660: Descriptive Analytics for Business Decisions 
        • BUAL 5960 - Special Problems
        • BUAL 5850: Sports Analytics 
        • ISMN 4850: Competitive Strategies Through Information 
        • ISMN 5290: Business Programming for Analytics  
        • ISMN 5620: Business Applications With Open Source Software

        Total Hours: 15 (must earn a minimum overall minor GPA of 2.0)
