        Excel in Innovation with Auburn’s Business-Engineering Technology Minor

        Blend business savvy with engineering expertise in Auburn’s competitive Business-Engineering Technology minor. Designed for top students, this 16-hour program equips you for careers in tech-driven product development and innovation.

        An interdisciplinary program with the College of Business and the College of Engineering, this minor prepares you for work in technology-intensive firms where new product development requires a combination of business and technical skills. This minor is offered to top students competitively selected from the College of Business and the College of Engineering.  Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.

        Prerequisites

        You must meet all prerequisites for the required courses listed below. Prerequisites will not be waived. Check out the links below to see course descriptions and their respective prerequisites (abbreviated as “Pr”).

        Required Courses

        • ENGR 3510: Introduction to Business and Engineering (3 hours)
        • ENGR 3520: Integrating Business and Engineering Theory with Practice (3 hours)
        • BUSI 3550: Cross-Functional Teamwork (1 hour)
        • BUSI 3560: Leadership (1 hour)
        • BUSI 5540: Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation (4 hours)
        • ENGR 5550: Product/Process Design and Development I (1 hour)
        • ENGR 6550: Product/Process Design and Development (3 hours)

         

        Total Hours: 16 (must earn a minimum overall minor GPA of 2.0)
