Education

Biography

Dr. Adam Bross received his doctorate from Washington State University after earning his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. His research lies at the intersection of managerial accounting and auditing, with a particular focus on how the actions of managers, clients, and auditors influence one another. He has received research grants from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and work co-authored with his PhD advisor received the 2024 Outstanding Paper award at the American Accounting Association’s Management Accounting Section Midyear Meeting. His work has also been published in Contemporary Accounting Research.

At Auburn, Bross teaches Intermediate Accounting I (ACCT 5110).

Earlier in his career, he spent three years with KPMG’s audit practice in Columbus, Ohio, working with clients in the insurance industry. An avid sports and fitness fan, he enjoys attending sporting events on and around campus, playing golf, hiking with his dog, and spending time with his family.
