Biography

Kai A. Saldsieder is a Visiting Professor at Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business and Professor of Strategic Management and International Marketing at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg). His teaching interests include international business, international marketing, strategic management, and leadership. He has taught at universities in Germany and the United States and has contributed to international teaching programs across Europe.

Prior to joining academia, Saldsieder held management positions with Procter & Gamble, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Hasbro, and a German family-owned company, with responsibilities spanning commercial leadership, international market development, and general management. He previously served as Professor of General Management and International Business at Pforzheim University.

Saldsieder holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg, an MBA from Henley Business School, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. His publications cover international management, digital transformation, and leadership. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
