        Rusty Adair

        Professor of Practice Management and Entrepreneurship

        Biography

        Rusty Adair joined Auburn as a Professor of Practice this year after a 33 year career with International Paper. After several roles in the Finance organization at the Prattville Mill, he joined the HR organization as a Generalist in 1998 to develop and implement a mill-wide training and certification program for Production and Maintenance employees. Rusty held a number of roles in HR including HR Leader at the Riverdale Mill in Selma, AL. several HR leadership roles in the corporate headquarters in Memphis, TN and a short term assignment in India, serving as the Interim HR Director for the newly acquired Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills business. He also worked as HR Director – Labor & Employee Relations where he had primary oversight of International Paper’s Labor Relations strategy overseeing 138 labor agreements with 14 different unions and HR Director for North American Recruiting and the Corporate Staff functions. He also had responsibility for HR for HR, which includes leading the Human Resources Leadership Council and the Human Resources Development Program.
