Professional Activities
Zhongling “Danny” Qin is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Harbert College of Business, Auburn University. He teaches Advanced Business Finance, a core undergraduate corporate finance course. His research interests span asset pricing, investments, labor and finance, and corporate finance.
Dr. Qin has published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of the American Statistical Association. His research has been presented at prominent conferences and institutions, including the American Finance Association Meeting, Western Finance Association Meeting, Financial Intermediation Research Society Conference, NBER Summer Institute, NBER-TCER-CEPR TRIO Conference, the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics (SITE), and various universities nationally and worldwide. His honors include the Financial Review Readers’ Choice Best Paper Award, recognition as a finalist for the John L. Weinberg/IRRCi Research Paper Award, the Harbert College’s Outstanding Rising Scholar Award, and the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award at the University of Georgia.
