Harbert College of Business alumni Fielding D. Alderman Jr., Davis Hooper, Madelaine Howard, Matthew Long IV, Michael R. Pittman and Joseph Young III are recipients of the Auburn University Alumni Association’s 20 Under 40 award, which recognizes members of the Auburn Family for extraordinary accomplishments, significant professional achievements and distinguished service to others.
Fielding Alderman (supply chain management ’12) is president and chief operating officer of Plumbing Distributors Inc., a leading wholesale distributor and kitchen, bath and lighting retailer serving the Southeast. He directs enterprise operations, strategic growth and leadership development while guiding the company’s customer-focused, family-oriented culture.
Davis Hooper (business administration ’11) is owner and president of residential construction firm Hooper Homes LLC. Since founding the company in 2016, Hooper has developed more than 200 homes and multiple residential communities around Auburn, Ala., while providing clients with a personalized and collaborative building process.
Madelaine Howard (finance ’16) is a senior underwriter with the Wesleyan Investment Foundation, providing financial analysis, credit risk evaluation and lending solutions to nonprofit and faith-based organizations. Previously a VP and commercial relationship manager at Regions Bank, she has nearly a decade of banking experience and managing a multimillion-dollar portfolio of loans and deposits.
Matthew Long (finance ’18) is a superintendent for CPKC Railway, leading rail operations across 580 miles of mainline territory across the Kansas City and St. Louis corridors. A board member of the Kansas City Terminal Railway focused on safety, service and sound finances, Long helped reduce train accidents and terminal dwell while also increasing trip-plan performance.
Michael Pittman (finance ’13) is the head of go-to-market strategy and operations for Healthcare and Life Sciences at Google Cloud. He previously led North America payroll operations for Alphabet, managed a $14B inventory portfolio for Google’s technical infrastructure, and served on the Machine Learning Council during the launch of Google’s AI platform Gemini Enterprise.
Joseph Young (aviation management + supply chain management ’14) is Delta Air Lines’ manager of international customer experience for Latin America. He previously served in Paris as Delta’s general manager of Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India, helping launch new destinations, building relationships and overseeing revenue expansion to more than $10 billion annually for the region.
