        • Alabama Department of Insurance
          • Insurance Examiner
            • Recent graduates or students that are about to graduate who are interested in an office job or willing to travel? We normally hire business majors for these positions, as this division is closely related to the audit function. Business majors such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics have been most successful because these majors require accounting classes. In addition, before one can be promoted into a supervisor position, the examiner must pass an Auditing class and Intermediate Accounting class, both which are upper-level accounting classes. The classes are required for the CFE or Certified Financial Examiner designation.

Also, since most recent graduates do not have the prior experience, they have the option to hire them as a state trainee, let them learn the job, and once they get experience, while working here, move you into the Insurance Examiner position.

Throughout a fast-paced workday, you will be working on urgent projects from your assigned client users at investment funds, consultancies, and businesses. You will need to understand their exact knowledge needs, and then find, engage, and vet the experts most suited to each client’s situation. To succeed in this role, you need to be motivated by delivering results for your clients and by achieving commercial goals. This is a communications-intense frontline role requiring a client-first mindset and the ability to multi-task across an action-packed workday. You'll develop transferable skills such as communication, general business communication, negotiation, and so much more!

        • River Bank & Trust
          • Management Trainee
            • Our management trainee position gives the opportunity for a qualified candidate to learn the world of community banking and work in our banking office as a financial associate.  This position typically starts off as a teller and a customer service representative.  This is a great way to learn retail banking.  A natural progression after serving those roles for 18 months to two years is to become an assistant relationship manager, portfolio manager, underwriter, etc.  After spending a couple of years with us learning as much as you can about the banking industry, the individual and the bank typically work together to decide on which job the individual wants to pursue going forward.
