The Auburn University Blockchain Club is kicking off the semester with its first major event on April 20th in Horton-Hardgrave Hall, bringing together students, industry speakers, and blockchain leaders for an evening of learning and networking!

The event will begin at 5:00 PM with a welcome from the executive board, introducing the club’s mission to connect students with opportunities in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and emerging digital technologies. Attendees will hear from guest speakers including Snax (PizzaDAO), who will share the story behind Bitcoin Pizza Day, along with additional speakers discussing real-world applications of blockchain across industries.

The club’s advisor, Professor Negangard, will also speak on his research involving blockchain and environmental accountability, giving students insight into how this technology is being used to track greenhouse gas emissions.

Following the speaker sessions, students will have the opportunity to network during a social hour, connect with peers, and learn more about getting involved in the organization. Food and drinks will be provided, making this a great opportunity to meet others interested in blockchain while gaining exposure to real-world innovation in the space!
