        Admissions Requirements

        In order to be admitted to the BSBA—Accountancy Online, you must:

        • Be seeking your second degree, 
        • Have met the required business foundation prerequisites (see below),
        • Have completed either a U.S. AACSB-accredited bachelor’s degree in business OR a U.S. AACSB-accredited MBA, and
        • Be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder (Permanent Resident) and have a USA or APO address from a SARA authorized state.

        Please note that you cannot be enrolled in an Auburn University campus program at the same time as the BSBA—Accountancy Online.

        • Business Foundation Prerequisites 

          The business foundation courses listed below must be completed prior to beginning the program. No prior upper-level accounting courses are required. 

          • Microeconomics
          • Macroeconomics
          • Principles of Financial Accounting
          • Statistics or Business Analytics I and II
          • Business Law or Legal and Social Environment of Business
          • Principles of Management
          • Principles of Marketing
          • Principles of Finance


          Candidates who have not completed the business foundation prerequisites are not eligible to apply.

        How to Apply

        • Alumni and Former Auburn University Students

          If you are alumni or a former student of Auburn University, email the following materials to accounting@auburn.edu:

          • Completed  Application for Readmission
          • Copy of your current (not expired) driver’s license
          • Résumé
          • Statement of purpose in which you explain your academic background and why you want to enroll
          • Official transcripts sent directly from every university you attended (we prefer digital copies sent through email but also accept physical copies sent to the address noted below)

        • Non-Auburn Alumni Applicants

          If you have never attended Auburn University, here’s how to apply:

          • Complete the online application for the online Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (DO NOT complete the online application under the Future Students tab at auburn.edu)
          • Email the following materials to accounting@auburn.edu:
            • Résumé
            • Statement of purpose explaining your academic background and why you are interested in pursuing this degree
            • Official transcripts sent directly from every university you attended (we prefer digital copies sent through email but also accept physical copies sent to the address noted below)

        In order to receive priority consideration for admission, you must submit your application materials by the following deadlines:

        Selection Process

        Your application will be considered on a competitive basis. We do not advertise minimum GPA requirements because the Admissions Committee uses a holistic approach when reviewing your application. They consider the quality of your academic background, grade point averages, work experience, and campus and community involvement. 

        If you are accepted, you will be contacted by Andee Hodo, Director of Graduate and Online Programs, regarding your plan of study and course enrollment.
