        International Business Minor - Milan & Madrid

        Open to: Business majors only – Requires Junior standing

        Prerequisites: Students must have completed at least 52 hours and have taken ECON 2030, MKTG 3310, and FINC 3610 PRIOR to program start

        Location:  Milan, Italy and Madrid, Spain

        Limited to: 20-30 students

        Program Dates

        • Leave USA May 7, Arrive May 8, 2026 Milan 
        • Orientation May 8-10 Milan 
        • Session 1: May 11- May 29 Milan
        • Session 2: June 2 – June 19 Milan
        • Summer Break: June 20 – June 27: Students report to Madrid housing June 27
        • Orientation  June 27 – June 28 Madrid
        • Session 3: June 29 – July 17 Madrid
        • Session 4: July 20 – Aug 4 Madrid
        • Hybrid Course (most sessions online with some on location): Begins May 11 – Ends Aug 4
        • Program Ends/Departure from Madrid: Aug 5, 2026

        Fees & Additional Costs

        Program Fee (Full Summer): $17,900 ($16,900 with Early Bird Discount) 

        Program Fee Includes: AU coursework, Housing (excluding summer break), Public Transportation Passes, Cultural and Professional Activities

        Estimated Additional Costs: $6,469

        For: Airfare, Passport and Visa, Meals, Auburn Abroad Fee, Travel Insurance, Harbert Professional Fees

        Courses** (15 Hours): Tentative Course Schedule

        Session 1: ECON 4300 International Economics

        Session 2: FINC 5510 Multinational Finance

        Session 3: MKTG 4410 Consumer Behavior or FINC 3640 Investments or MNGT 4100 Managing in International Environments

        Session 4: MKTG 4400 International Marketing or FINC 3700 Financial Markets and Institutions

        Online/hybrid: BUSI 3250 International Business or MKTG 5350 Services Marketing (Hybrid—Combo live on location and online)

        ** Changes to the International Business Minor course options/requirements are under consideration. The above list is the tentative course set. However, it is possible that the specific courses might change. If so, the summer courses will reflect the changes. Students will still be able to complete the International Business Minor in Summer 2026. We expect to notify all applicants (and post here) the final changes in early November. Please check with the program director or coordinator prior to committing.
