        Year 1

        Freshman Year

        After getting off to a great start at orientation, you’re ready to start your freshman year! Ask faculty or staff for assistance any time. We’re here to help you succeed!

        Pre-business Curriculum >>
        Freshmen business students begin as pre-business majors. This gives you time to explore which business major is right for you while learning foundational business concepts and professional skills.

        Mentorship Program
        Harbert Connects provides mentoring opportunities to business students in two separate formats: formal and informal mentorships. Ask questions to a professional in your field, job shadow, take part in mentoring sessions, and more!

        Sophomore year is a big year—it's time to declare your business major! After you declare your major, you will meet your new Major Academic Advisor. Be sure to meet with your Academic Advisor before each semester to make sure you're on the right track.

        As a Harbert College of Business undergraduate, you're required to complete a graduation audit with your assigned academic advisor. Your graduation audit must be completed during an appointment with your advisor.
