        Professional Activities

        Marlin Jensen's areas of research interests include corporate finance issues such as cost of capital and security issuances, corporate governance, and electric utility restructuring. He has published in several academic journals including the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Financial Review, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Finance, Managerial Finance, and Financial Services Review . He has served as a manuscript reviewer for Financial Management, Financial Review, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Economics and Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Financial Services Review and Managerial Finance, as well as several textbooks.

        He has presented research papers to the Financial Management Association, Southern Finance Association, Eastern Finance Association, and the Auburn Policy Research Center. He currently teaches principles of finance, advanced business finance and financial strategy. He has won competitive grants from the Auburn Policy Research Center to study factors affecting electric utility's cost of capital and responses to deregulation. He has been the recipient of teaching awards from the Harbert College of Business and the Financial Management Association.
