Four-time Auburn alumnus Felix Verdigets (PhD ’04 management) was enjoying a fulfilling career as partner at KPMG when his friend Nate Bargatze invited him to help build a new entertainment company in 2024.
“You work so hard to make partner at one of the Big Four firms, the plan isn't then to leave,” said Verdigets. “But this unicorn of an opportunity walked over from next door—the number one comedian in the world—and he was ready to expand into other areas of entertainment.”
Impressed with Bargatze’s astute business mind and desire to get to the next level, Verdigets left KPMG to become CEO of Bargatze’s company Nateland.
“I believe in him and could see the vision—it was just too good to pass up,” Verdigets said.
