According to Auburn DSP president Matthew Siegfried, the chapter won the award because it increased membership by 43% and attracted interesting speakers such as the Tailgate Guys, a successful Auburn start-up that provides tent, party and event rental services. The chapter currently has 105 members and continues to grow.
Last year, Siegfried served as senior vice president, and he helped chapter president Lindsay Winters introduce a new level of professionalism and energy to the chapter.
“We are making sure it is an enjoyable social experience for the [members] as well as helping them professionally with speakers and workshops throughout the year,” said Siegfried.
Open to all Auburn Harbert College of Business majors, the DSP fraternity focuses on professional development, building relationships and engaging in community service. Members, who are as diverse as the business world, gain experiences in professionalism, leadership, ethics and philanthropy.
