Southern Company, a gas and electric utility holding company, is now accepting applications for Summer 2025 internship and co-op positions in Accounting, Finance, and Treasury. With placements available in Alabama and Georgia, students can choose from in-person or hybrid work options while gaining hands-on exposure to the energy industry and Southern Company’s internal operations.

This opportunity offers valuable rotational experience through a variety of departments, helping students build critical skills while engaging in real work that supports business operations and financial reporting.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum GPA: 3.0 for internship positions (2.8 for co-op)

• Minimum sophomore standing

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (Southern Company does not sponsor work authorization)

• Availability to work 24 to 40 hours per week for approximately 3 months
