        Requirements

        Admission to the online Accounting Bridge is limited to second degree-seeking candidates. To be admitted, you must meet the following criteria:

        • Four-year regionally accredited (SACS, NCACS, NEACS, etc.) bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution
        • Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder (Permanent Resident) and have either a USA or APO address from a SARA authorized state
        • Must meet the business foundation prerequisites (see below)

        If you do not hold a business degree, you are not eligible to apply until you complete the business foundation prerequisites.

        Dual enrollment in an Auburn campus program and an Auburn online accounting program is not permitted. The School of Accountancy has full authority over the admissions and matriculation processes for all applicants to the program.

        • Business Foundation Prerequisites

          The business foundation courses listed below must be completed prior to beginning the program. No prior upper-level accounting courses are required. 

          • Microeconomics
          • Macroeconomics
          • Principles of Financial Accounting
          • Statistics or Business Analytics I and II
          • Business Law or Legal and Social Environment of Business
          • Principles of Management
          • Principles of Marketing
          • Principles of Finance


          Candidates who have not completed the business foundation prerequisites are not eligible to apply.

        How to Apply

        • Auburn Alumni and Former Auburn Students
          • Complete the Application for Readmission and send to the email address noted below.  Also, you must send a copy of your unexpired driver's license with your readmission application. 
          • Email your résumé and statement of purpose to accounting@auburn.edu. They must explain your academic background and why you want to enroll 
          • Submit an official transcript directly from every university attended to the address below. Transcripts mailed by the student are not considered official.
          • There is no application fee required for former Auburn students.

          To apply for financial aid, you must contact the Auburn University Financial Aid Office. If you seek financial aid, you must enroll in at least five hours each semester to qualify.

          If you are accepted, you will be contacted by Andee Hodo, Director of Graduate and Online Programs, about your plan of study and course enrollment.

        • Non-Auburn Alumni Applicants
          • Complete the e-application. Eligible applicants must have either a USA or APO address from a SARA authorized state.  At the end of the application, you will be required to submit a $50 application fee. The application process for the Accounting Bridge Program and the Bachelor of Science in Accounting is the same.  DO NOT COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION UNDER THE FUTURE STUDENTS TAB AT WWW.AUBURN.EDU.
          • Email your résumé and statement of purpose to accounting@auburn.edu. They must explain your academic background and why you want to enroll.
          • Submit an official transcript directly from every university attended to the address below. Transcripts mailed by the student are not considered official. Please do not submit official transcripts until you have submitted your e-application.

        Application Deadlines

        Selection Process

        Applications for the Accounting Bridge Program are considered on a competitive basis. Minimum GPA requirements are not advertised. The Admissions Committee uses a holistic approach when reviewing application packages. The Committee considers the quality of academic background, grade point averages, campus involvement, and work experience.
