Turn ideas into action with Auburn’s 15-hour Entrepreneurship & Family Business minor. Perfect for aspiring founders, innovators, and next-gen leaders—open to all majors and packed with hands-on, startup-ready courses.
The Entrepreneurship and Family Business Minor is a 15 hour program designed around the creation and management of an individual's own business as well as the fostering of an entrepreneurial mindset within a larger organization. It is perfect for students that plan to start their own business or work for a start-up, a franchise, or are interested in the purchase of an existing business. It can also be highly valuable for students that are interested in working for large, highly-innovative companies where an entrepreneurial attitude is expected and valued.
This minor is available to business and non-business majors. All students, business and non-business, are required to meet all prerequisites. Pre-requisites will not be waived. Please visit the AU Bulletin's Academic Programs and Curricula for Minor program policies, including which courses a student may take toward a minor. Courses taken to fulfill a University core curriculum requirement or a major requirement may not also be counted toward the minor. Students in the Auburn University Honors College may contract for honors credit in the minor courses.
*MATH and BIOL courses must be at least 3 hrs each. Partial credit cannot be split between major and minor courses.
