Christopher Adams is a Global Programs Coordinator at the Harbert College of Business, bringing significant international experience in educational program management, intercultural training, and language instruction. Christopher has developed and implemented programming for international and cultural education initiatives in Spain, California, Vermont, Georgia, and Oregon.
Christopher has served as an International Program Coordinator at Oregon State University, where he managed over 30 exchange, affiliated, direct enroll, and intern abroad programs worldwide. His expertise includes comprehensive student support throughout the study abroad journey, from application to re-entry. At CEA Study Abroad, he specialized in preparing students for international internship experiences, coaching candidates on career readiness and cultural adaptation.
As an educator and program manager, Christopher has held various roles including Assistant Program Coordinator and Program Director for study abroad programs in Spain, where he created orientation workshops, implemented intercultural competency training, and developed academic programming. His teaching experience spans multiple educational levels, where he implemented communicative language programming with integrated technology to enhance student language acquisition. He has also facilitated intercultural exchanges between European students and served as an English Language and Culture Assistant in Spain.
Christopher is an active contributor to the field of international education through professional presentations at regional NAFSA conferences and other educational forums, focusing on topics such as action-based education abroad resources and cultural transitions in international education. He holds a Master of Arts in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish from the University of Georgia.
