        Electives

        Electives include Special Topics in Finance (FINC 8700), research methods and concentrations of courses in another discipline, such as Economics. Your electives must be approved by the Graduate Program Officer (PhD Advisor).

        Candidacy 

        You will be admitted to candidacy after completing the required coursework and passing the preliminary examination. The preliminary examination requires you to produce and present both a satisfactory conference paper and seminar paper, with the conference paper presentation coming first. The seminar paper must be approved by your Advisory Committee.
